Puerto Natales is rated as one of the southernmost Chilean cities and whose southern latitude and western longitude are 51° 43’ and 72° 31’ respectively. Its location is included within the confines of the Chilean Region XII – also referred to (name in Spanish) Región de Magallanes y de la Antartida Chilena. More to the point, the city is located on the edge of the Señoret Channel, between the Almirante Montt gulf and the Ultima Esperanza (Last Hope) sound areas. This city is 247 Km. North of Punta Arenas (Capital city of Region XII) and 1,373 Km. to the South of Santiago.

Arrival at the Airport in Puerto Natales: Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday via Sky Airline. Arrival at the airport in Punta Arenas: Via daily Lan Chile (One World) or Sky Airline flights from Santiago. This airport is 20 km from Punta Arenas’ downtown area and 226 km from Puerto Natales.

From Punta Arenas: Via the northbound carriage way of Route 9. Distance from Santiago: 3,100 km Distance from Puerto Montt: 2,300 km. When travelling from Puerto Montt southwards there is no option but to travel through Argentina and re-enter Chile through the border checkpoint known as Monte Aymond. Another alternative is to travel through Argentina all the way and then re-enter Chile at Monte Aymond.
